Common questions.
Where are your products made?+
Every candle, diffuser and soap is hand-poured at our studio at 801 South Street, Apt 213, Honolulu, Hawaii. We do not use a contract manufacturer.
What kind of wax do you use?+
A coconut and apricot kernel blend with a melt point suited to the Honolulu climate. We do not use paraffin, palm or fully refined soy wax.
Are your fragrances safe?+
All of our fragrance oils are phthalate-free, paraben-free, and compliant with IFRA category 12 (room scenting) guidelines. Full SDS sheets are available on request.
Do your products contain animal ingredients?+
No. Our wax, fragrance oils, dyes and wicks are entirely plant- or mineral-derived, and we do not test on animals. Our Laulima soap contains raw Hawaiian honey; please let us know if you need a vegan alternative.
How long does a candle last?+
Approximately 50 hours when burned in 2 – 4 hour sessions with the wick trimmed to a quarter inch before each burn.
How do I place an order?+
Write to admin@marcrbutler.com or call +1 (425) 435-1766. We confirm availability, send an invoice, and ship within 3 business days of payment.
Do you ship outside Hawaii?+
Yes. We ship anywhere in the continental United States via USPS Priority. International shipping is available on request.
Do you offer wholesale?+
Yes, for hotels, boutiques and event planners. Minimum order is forty-eight units; lead time is four weeks. Please request a wholesale sheet via the contact page.
Can I visit the studio?+
We are not a public storefront, but we love showing the studio to anyone genuinely curious. Write to us and we will arrange a time.
Do you take custom orders?+
For weddings, corporate gifts and private events, yes. Minimum order is twenty-four units and we usually need six to eight weeks.
